History

The Thirteenth Ohio Battery was never fully organized. A section of it was in the battle of Pittsburg Landing (Shiloh), and was unfortunate enough to lose its guns in the first day's fight. After the battle the men of the battery were, by order of the division commander (duly approved at headquarters) distributed into other Ohio batteries, and the number was dropped.
